Summary Role responsibilities

  • Leading agile events and ceremonies in line with Platform Change Framework (PCF) principles, championing adherence to the Platform Change Framework
  • Display ownership, resilience, and creativity in solving problems and overcoming blockers
  • Define user-stories and acceptance criteria to meet customer needs
  • Work with Customer Journey Managers to analyse user stories for customer journey improvements
  • Prioritise, refine, and manage Team Product backlog
  • Accountable for end-to-end product change governance (e.g., "Your Change Framework") and Business Readiness activities (e.g., training and comms, testing and readiness for implementation) for respective features, journeys, or technology components. Note: POs are accountable but activities to be delivered by the whole 'team'
  • Work with Integrators when change is complex, spanning multiple Platforms
  • Input into overall Product vision and Product roadmap, working with senior PO
  • Support development of Team OKRs and provide product performance and benefits realisation data
  • Implement development frameworks for their area, coach, and mentor others in the organisation
  • Deliver outcomes by managing others and working within established systems (PCF)
  • Uncover emerging issues and needs, identifies potential causes, related issues, key stakeholders, and barriers
  • Analyse and evaluate the feasibility/relevance of proposed financial products, develop and amend as necessary with guidance from senior colleagues

About the role
Here in the Embedded Finance team, we're a start-up business within Consumer Lending tasked with building out propositions that solve customers' financial needs, when they arise and wherever they are.
We want to tackle problems for existing franchise customers as well as those new to franchise, using outstanding LBG capabilities in ways that are co-ordinated into customers' existing lifestyles. We're bold and innovative in our use of data and technology in putting customers first, creating world-class customer experiences, to build balanced and long-term business models, adding to Group capabilities overall.

The purpose of the Product Owner is the overall ownership of a specific product which contains features, journeys, or technology components. This role is responsible for overseeing the release of incremental value within a specific product feature or technology component, with the primary aim of delivering value to customers and stakeholders by ensuring the team focuses on the right priorities.

Excellent communication skills - proficient in conveying complex ideas clearly and concisely, both in written and verbal formats. Able to tailor communication style to diverse audiences, ensuring clarity and understanding
Good knowledge and experience of implementing of agile frameworks, scrum or kanban
Excellent working knowledge and understanding of Atlassian suite, (Jira/Jira Align/Confluence)
Strong working knowledge of Platform Change Framework and experience implementing its principles and practices
Planning, Tracking, Reporting & Governance - Communicate regular updates to key stakeholders while resolving high priority issues affecting delivery, by making work visible in Jira. Using experience to address critical risks/issues/dependencies, taking responsibility for critical issues while ensuring resolution within agreed timescales
And you'll influence positively - demonstrating the right values and behaviours and encouraging this in team members
The skills and confidence to build effective and high trust relationships quickly and broadly across the wider organisation
