Product Owner - Tech Editorial

We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Product Owner to lead our delivery of activities relating to our customer communications tools & internal application content. If you love delivering at pace and responding quickly to make things happen for our customers, working with technology and bringing people together to find solutions then you\xe2\x80\x99ve come to the right place.

We are a flat and agile organisation and plan to remain this way. We are looking for a hands-on Product Owner that can help build our capability to respond to the affordability crisis currently gripping the UK for some of our most vulnerable customers. The person we are looking to recruit will be naturally curious, using their intellect and passion to solve complex problems to discover solutions and build great products that delight our internal teams & customers.

Working with the Product Manager, the Product Owner will be creating, executing and prioritising the E.ON Next roadmap for the domains they are responsible for. They will need to be adept at working collaboratively across multiple business areas including Product Management, Customer Operations, Engineering, 3rd parties, Go To Market and Commercial. The Product Owner will need to have a good understanding of customer contact and what makes a great customer service interaction, the regulatory energy landscape and be proficient in written communication. The person will use their influence and vision to bring technology, people and processes together across E.ON Next and partners to drive tangible and innovative product outcomes.

Responsibilities

Work closely with Product Managers, Product Analysts and associated teams in E.ON Next and partners such as Kraken Technologies to support product vision and strategy

Undertake discovery to identify problems where product solutions would unlock customer value.

Owning and improving the technology behind our customer communications

Answering the \xe2\x80\x9cwhy\xe2\x80\x9d and setting well defined, clear and articulate requirements for our delivery teams/partners. Strong focus on pragmatic prioritisation based on business strategy and value outcomes.

Using data and a data driven approach to develop and validate hypotheses and measure outcomes.

Continuous improvement through Identifying new ideas and technology to enhance the product over time.

Taking ownership and becoming the go to expert for their relevant product areas.

Working in both intimate detail and supporting product strategy and vision in their product area.

Understand the needs of the business relevant to customer contact tools & write engaging, inspirational content for our users and customers

Qualifications and Experience

Very strong written communication skills and an excellent understanding and application of tone-of-voice

Ability to translate complex problems and technical language in to something fit for the end user

Knowledge and experience, including associated trends in energy markets, regulation and copy/content management

Agile delivery experience and product management skills

Experience of tech products and working with tech teams

Adaptable and comfortable with working with ambiguity

Energised by working in a fast paced environment

Excellent communications, collaboration and presentation skills

Strong stakeholder management & influencing skills and ability to challenge traditional ways of thinking

This is a permanent role based out of Nottingham or Leicester, with some travel between our other sites as required.
