At LV= we are recruiting for an experienced Product & Proposition Manager to join our modernised and dynamic Protection team.

Within this role, you'll be responsible for optimising the performance of LV= protection products and wider proposition features to meet the needs of our valued customers and distributors, and for extending the distribution footprint of LV= protection products - this will drive profitable growth and retention of our Protection insurance portfolio.

The role will be key in developing our product and proposition strategy and you'll help identify, assess, prioritise and deliver opportunities to achieve our strategy through product development.

We offer hybrid working and you'll be working from our Bournemouth or Exeter office. This is a 6 Month Fixed Term contract.

About You

Our ideal candidate will...

Have accrued significant experience and understanding of the Protection market, products, distribution and journeys and be recognised internally and externally as a Subject Matter Expert for Protection products. Demonstrate a track record of significant product launches from concept stage to implementation and delivered in line with time, cost and quality targets.
Have a proven ability to shape and deliver strategic change and contribute to wider initiatives. Showcase agile project management and proposition development experience. Have the financial acumen to understand profitability and financial reporting metrics of protection products. Be a motivated self-starter with a passion for the Protection business. Be curious, with a creative, problem-solving approach, and the willingness to challenge status quo. Competently work cross-functionally to reconcile competing priorities while meeting objectives. Be an excellent communicator with stakeholder management skills, plus experience in supplier management, developing and maintaining supplier relationships and operating efficiency plans. Take an analytical approach to business initiatives, considering implications and risk when developing plans.

Key Responsibilities

Developing and delivering a product and proposition strategy to drive profitable growth for the LV= Protection business. Ensuring that excellent customer and distributor outcomes are delivered. Supporting the financial plan for Protection products, and meeting/exceeding annual plan targets. Achieved through analysing profitability and sales performance across the LV= protection offerings. Developing new (and enhancing existing) products and supporting features, carrying out detailed research and development, while working closely with other LV= stakeholders. Maintaining a strong understanding of the external environment, including competitor analysis, Customer & Distributor insights, and technological/regulatory developments and initiatives. Building relationships with peers at third-party organisations. Ensuring all products are operated and managed within the LV= product governance framework, including Customer Outcomes and Fair Value considerations. Working collaboratively with other areas of the business to align efforts in delivering the business plan and meeting growth aspirations of the LV= protection business, all while delivering fair customer outcomes. Supporting the management within appetite of regulatory and legislative risks associated with proposition development.
