Job description
Our client, a leading organisation in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Senior Product Safety Engineer to join their team on a contractual basis in Glascoed, South Wales.
Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and manage product safety risks throughout the lifecycle of defence products
• Develop and implement safety management systems and strategies
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
• Conduct safety assessments and hazard analyses
• Prepare detailed safety documentation and reports
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety requirements
• Provide technical expertise on product safety issues
• Engage with stakeholders to communicate safety risks and mitigation measures

Job Requirements:

• Experience as a Safety Engineer within the defence sector
• Strong understanding of safety management principles and practices
• Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards
• Proficiency in hazard identification and risk assessment techniques
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
