WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The role is REUK's Safety & Supportability Engineering lead. REUK shall be able to demonstrate that the role holder is a suitably qualified and experienced personnel (SQEP).
The role shall act as the primary point of contact for Project Managers, Product Owners, sub-contractors and external customers.
The role holder shall develop processes and procedures relevant to the operation of the business function.
Shall works closely with sub-contractors and suppliers to extend REUKs product Safety & Supportability concept when collaborating on new projects.
Manage ILS analysis, including; Supportability Analysis, Reliability Prediction, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, Maintenance Task Analysis, Spares Modelling, PHS&T, etc.
Manage product safety analysis, including; Hazard Log, Safety and Environmental Case Report, Hazard Materials Analysis, Environmental Impact Assessment, etc.
Perform the role of Functional Safety Manager (for all safety lifecycle phases) for the development of new and existing products and features.
Manage product obsolescence monitoring and parts codification.
Act as the Lead Technical Author and manage the delivery of product Technical Publications.
Responsible for the development and delivery of product training for external customers.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and product development.
Provides SME Safety & Supportability support to business development activities.
Provide growth of the Safety & Supportability business function capability.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
Knowledge and experience in Military Land Systems Engineering, Systems/ Electronics/ Mechanical engineering in a military Land platform environment or suitable Defence equivalent.
Highly desirable
familiarity with;
+ UK MoD ILS Practices
+ NATO parts codification using CSIS.
Military Standards+ DEFSTAN 00-056, 00-055, 00-051, 00-600, 00-042 and 00-040 Functional Safety standards IEC 61508 & ISO 26262 and the following activities:
Safety planning
Hardware and Software development
Fault Tree Analysis
FMEA/FMECA
Reliability (SIL) calculations SFF/PFH/PFDavg
Product safety manuals
Previous experience in Safety & Supportability Management at different phases of a products life cycle.
Previous experience in the role of a Snr Project Engineer would be advantageous.
Highly self-motivated and analytical with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Excellent problem-solving skills are essential, as it the ability to work within a dynamic and fast paced environment.
Experience working in and Agile development environment and use of business support tools, Confluence and Jira is highly desirable
