We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Product Specialist to join our EDM Product Strategy Team in London. In this fast-paced and high-pressure role, you will collaborate with a team of driven professionals dedicated to delivering innovative, high-value solutions in Enterprise Data Management (EDM).
As a Product Specialist, you'll focus on gathering product requirements, developing comprehensive user stories, refining product backlogs, and effectively coordinating Agile processes. You will bridge technical and business domains, ensuring clear communication and alignment between internal teams, vendors, and clients. Key Responsibilities
Work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment; quickly produce detailed requirement documents and precise field mapping.
Engage with clients and internal stakeholders to identify and analyze business and technical needs using workshops, interviews, documentation reviews, and other relevant techniques.
Document, validate, and maintain business, functional, and non-functional requirements, ensuring clarity, comprehensiveness, and testability.
Actively participate in Agile/Scrum events including Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
Collaborate closely with leading financial data vendors such as Bloomberg (BBG), LSEG, SIX, and ICE to perform accurate field mappings to our standard EDM Data Model.
Regularly review and track vendor schema updates; update mapping documentation accordingly and articulate updates via clear user stories.
Demonstrate strong working knowledge of vendor data schemas and mapping techniques. Prior experience using ERWIN or similar data modeling tools is preferred.
Partner with UI/UX designers to develop user experience artifacts such as wireframes, mock-ups, and site maps.
Draft comprehensive User Stories and associated acceptance criteria.
Assist your team with effective project estimation, planning, execution, and project management tasks.
Collaborate closely with development teams, translating business requirements into detailed software specifications.
Work alongside QA teams to ensure the creation and execution of clear and comprehensive test cases.
Support development and QA activities to maximize team productivity and ensure product enhancements are delivered on schedule.
Contribute to building compelling business cases and developing client-facing documentation such as user guides and marketing materials.
Serve as a liaison facilitating clear and effective communication between business and technology teams.
Review and evaluate client change requests, facilitating meetings, and capturing and tracking key decisions and actions.
Qualifications & Experience Required
Minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Product Analyst or Business Analyst, ideally within Agile environments.
Excellent writing skills, with proven ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proven experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum.
Demonstrated strength in project management, with the capability to efficiently handle multiple concurrent tasks and priorities.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across diverse teams.
Solid understanding and practice of business analysis skills and techniques including gap analysis, feasibility assessments, use case modeling, and UML diagrams.
Track record of successfully managing and delivering complex technology projects.
Practical experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar Agile project and workflow management tools.
Experience with collaboration platforms such as Confluence or SharePoint.
Familiarity with data querying languages such as SQL is desired, though not mandatory.
Enterprise Data Management (EDM) experience preferred but not essential.
Financial industry experience advantageous but not required.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
