Moog Aircraft Group Tewkesbury is seeking a Product & Supply Chain Engineering Manager (Operations Support) to lead a team of skilled engineers focused on resolving complex technical challenges related to the design, assembly, and testing of production hardware in an operations support setting. This role will drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing advanced assembly and test (A&T) technologies, executing cost-reduction initiatives, and eliminating waste throughout production processes. With a strong emphasis on team development, the role includes mentoring and training junior engineers, fostering professional growth, and delivering key objectives aligned with the Tewkesbury site's goals. The position operates with considerable autonomy, requiring strategic leadership and hands-on involvement in engineering operations.
Key Responsibilities:Analyse production data to improve quality, delivery, and reduce costs.
Lead investigations into product integrity; liaise with suppliers/customers.
Approve engineering documents and act as MRB authority.
Implement corrective actions to fix process or quality issues.
Develop and execute assembly & test (A&T) strategies aligned with team goals.
Work with supply chain to reduce supplier issues and obsolescence.
Support NPI team on A&T automation and digital projects.
Coordinate with site leadership to meet delivery targets.
Qualifications:10+ years in engineering, expertise in mechanical/hydraulic systems and design interpretation.
Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or related (or equivalent experience).
Proven leadership and team development skills.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.
Preferably aerospace regulatory knowledge.
Skilled in root cause analysis, corrective actions, LEAN, project planning, product transfer, and data analysis.
Proficient in problem-solving methodologies for complex technical issues.
