We're looking for a highly skilled Product Writer - Insurance Tester to join a dynamic, cross-functional team working on a new insurance programme. This is a hybrid role combining hands-on testing with leadership responsibilities, ideal for someone with deep domain expertise and a proactive, collaborative mindset.

Hybrid working:

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your role

Test and validate Product Writer dictionaries, skeleton schemes, RTE/XRTE, and rating models. Execute functional, regression, and sanity testing across insurance product configurations. Collaborate with developers, BAs, and product owners to ensure quality delivery. Manage test planning, task assignment, progress tracking, and defect resolution. Contribute to test strategy and documentation, including test scenarios and data preparation. Use Jira for test and defect management; automation experience with Selenium and Java is a plus.

Your skills and experience

------------------------------

Extensive exposure to software testing, with a strong focus on the insurance domain. Hands-on experience with Product Writer tools and Bulk Test Tool (BTT). Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience in sandbox or live production testing environments. Familiarity with commercial lines of insurance is advantageous.
Desired skills:


Automation testing using Selenium and Java. Experience leading small teams or mentoring junior testers. Exposure to Agile methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.

Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS)

To be successfully appointed to this role you will need to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks.


There are no nationality or residency restrictions, although if you have resided outside of the UK within the last 3 years, further checks may be required.


There are other criteria and check required for BPSS, and throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality.
