Manthorpe Engineering is a leading manufacturer of precision high-integrity products for the defence, nuclear and energy sectors. We are seeking a reliable and well-organised Production Administration Assistant to provide administrative support to the Production Controller and Purchasing functions. This role will play a key part in maintaining the accuracy and flow of purchasing, subcontract, and production documentation within the business.
Key Responsibilities
Process purchase orders for materials, consumables, and subcontract services.
Raise purchase orders and record goods receipt for subcontract operations.
Act as the primary contact for raising documentation for on-site contractors.
Reconcile purchase order acknowledgements and ensure they are correctly attached to purchase records.
Provide cover for Goods Inwards and Dispatch functions when required.
Maintain and update the company's Approved Vendor List in accordance with quality system requirements.
Serve as the first point of contact for supplier-related administrative queries.
Support general office duties including scanning, filing, and archiving of Goods Receipts and completed route cards.
Ensure accurate and timely data entry to support production scheduling and purchasing control.
Candidate Profile
Previous experience in an administrative role within an engineering, manufacturing, or logistics environment preferred.
Competent in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document management.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with multiple departments and prioritise tasks in a fast-moving production environment.
