As our company grows, and the company founder looks to pass on some of his duties, we have created a brand new vacancy for a Production Administrator who will be responsible for carrying out a range of administrative duties to support the smooth running of our engineering facility.

We\'re a small, growing company, operating at the forefront of high tech engineering and product prototyping, research and development.

We\'ve invested in the latest technology to support our expanding and loyal customer network, and the quality of the work we do is second to none, and as we grow, we now need to take on an additional member of our team to help us coordinate operations.

Joining us as our new Production Administrator, your new role will see you carrying out duties like compiling quotations with the help of our engineers, completing purchase orders, carrying out stock checks and providing day-to-day tracking of orders, plus producing documentation and carrying out general admin support to our internal team, at our head office based in Gloucester.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to support our commercial/operations teams by taking on a number of admin tasks, ideally with experience in a similar role within a production or engineering environment.

Job title: Production Administrator
Location: We\'re on the outskirts of Gloucester. Commutable from Dursley, Stonehouse, Quedgeley, Cheltenham, Tewkesbury and surrounding areas.
Working hours: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday to Friday.
Pay rate: We\'re looking to pay a salary of \xc2\xa322,000 - \xc2\xa325,000. Please do get in touch, we will be happy to consider your individual requirements

What you\'ll be doing as our new Production Administrator
Your job will see you:

  • Providing support to the internal team, ensuring smooth running of the daily operations.
  • Managing and organising documentation and reports.
  • Handling customer enquiries.
  • Compiling bespoke quotations with the guidance of the managers.
  • Processing orders and raising the relevant production paperwork.
  • Placing orders with suppliers.
  • Tracking orders and following up if there are any delays.
  • Arranging deliveries and recording incoming goods.
  • Maintaining files and records, both electronic and paper records.
  • Dealing with incoming calls and emails, recording them and passing them onto the relevant manager.
  • Keeping customer records up to date.
  • General office administrative support.
The skills and experience you\'ll need for this Production Administrator position
You\'ll be an organised person with real enthusiasm for delivering a great service, both internally, and to our customers.
You\'ll have:
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, including effective proof-reading skills.
  • Familiarity with raising purchase orders and internal production paperwork.
  • Excellent telephone and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organisation and multi-tasking skills.
  • Good time management skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure when needed, to grasp concepts quickly and to achieve deadlines.
  • Good word processing and spreadsheet skills.
  • The ability to work independently.
  • A good command of written and spoken English.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office.
  • A methodical approach to work.
Qualifications and experience you\'ll need
  • GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • We imagine you will have at least two years\' experience of working in a similar role, but if you have gained the skills and experience in less time, we\'d be interested to hear from you too!
