At British Gypsum we are looking for a Production & Inventory Planner to work in our Supply Chain team, helping to manage the production plan for Board Plant 3 & 4 and the Bag Plaster Plant; this includes the supply of raw materials for all workshops to meet customer demand at optimized inventory levels and production output whilst ensuring stock record accuracy is maintained. The Production & Inventory Planner will be responsible for managing Stock Record Accuracy across all products at East Leake and Gotham and coordinating the ordering of brought-in finish goods and raw materials.

The Production & inventory Planner will be a part of a team of 2 Production Planners, 1 Planning Manager, An Admin Assistant as well as working closely with the Warehouse Performance Manager and their warehouse team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a hands on team working in a fast paced environment, working in a cross department manner alongside key stakeholders in Purchasing, Finance, Quality, Research & Development and Supply Chain. This will allow your organisational skills and flair for customer service and time management will get noticed

What we\'re looking for:

• Listens and communicates with others in straightforward and open manner. Is customer focused, proactive and takes personal initiative to resolve issues and enquiries.
• Previous Production Planning and strong inventory management experience in a fast paced and challenging environment with excellent understanding of MRP systems and SAP
• Customer focused, Resilient the ability to work in a cross department function
• Excellent communication and the ability to influence and manage across a matrix organisation.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple simultaneous priorities

What you will be doing:

• Production planner for board lines, inventory management, managing stock levels across the warehouse, responsibility for the production schedule and call off of raw materials.
• Running MRP systems, checking raw materials, raising purchase orders, putting plans in sequence, gaining plan approvals from the Production Planning Manager, quality assessments,
• Attending daily meetings with the Production team and other key stakeholders as well attending daily Integrated Supply Chain meetings.
• Maintains SAP master data so as to enable the effective and robust statistical analysis across specific product families
• Responsible for purchasing of day-to-day raw materials within the contracts and terms that the Purchasing Department have agreed with the company\'s suppliers
