DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
4creative is the multi-awarded, highly creative, in-house agency for Channel 4. It forms part of the Marketing and Communications Division within that, 4creative is responsible for developing and delivering all advertising campaigns and channel packaging for Channel 4 in every media. As such, 4creative plays a key role in projecting a coherent sense of the 4-brand family.
ROLE
We are looking for a Production Assistant to assist the Production Department in all aspects of production across all Channel 4 channels and in all media: off air; on air; digital and social.
Reporting to a Senior Producer, the Production Assistant will support the production of 4creative's industry-leading output across all media.
The role requires a knowledge of TV Broadcast and advertising, which will be developed extensively whilst working within 4creative. This role provides key support to the wider team and assisting in delivering campaigns.
This role would suit someone who is starting their career in the creative industries and has a genuine interest in production.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the Production Team across all media, on and off air, digital and social
Manage the end to end file/digital media traffic between the Production team, directors and post-production facilities
QC and deliver trails (promotional trailers/adverts) for transmission and files for all campaign deliverables
Organise post-production bookings where required
Package & deliver weekly trails across all platforms, including clocking, end-boards and VO records
Maintain good relationships with external post-production facilities and the internal Production Centre
Assist the Producers in liaising with the Legal department for trail certification
Assist the Producers in liaising with the Music department for music clearances
Assist the Producers in liaising with the Marketing and Media Planning departments
Ensure archiving & logging of all project material across the business
Assist when required to carry out research in a variety of areas
Attend shoots, providing production support where required
Support shoot pre-production (incl. but not limited to): callsheets, booking of post-production, cars for shoots, pencilling crew and, booking catering where required
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Experience of post-production, broadcast, advertising, social media or film environment
Awareness of post-production processes, working with different formats, sending & receiving material digitally
Ability to learn quickly and use initiative in order to respond to Production's ever-changing demands
Proven ability to create positive working relationships with internal or external stakeholders
Good attention to detail
Good organisations skills and time management. Experience of working to a deadline
Good computer literacy & communication skills
Demonstrate a keen interest in creativity, trends and innovations
Be committed to celebrating difference and representing an inclusive and diverse society
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Knowledge of editing packages, Final Cut, Premiere Pro, Avid
Experience of operating cameras or photography
Basic salary per annum starting from
27,125.00

Hybrid working
From September 2023, C4 has operated a 60/40 working pattern, equating to three office days per week.
