Job Summary


We are looking for a motivated and proactive Production Assistant to join our dynamic team at the forefront of fine fragrance formulation in Scotland. Working closely with our in-house team, you will provide support with production as well as general maintenance of our production space and support in manufacturing activities. This position requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:



Provide support to in-house production team assisting in manufacturing activities to enhance overall efficiency and productivity, this is including but not limited to mechanical equipment and manual operations. Processing of goods-in and stock inventory. Processing and packaging of products and finished goods. Carry out routine cleaning of manufacturing facility to a defined schedule to support manufacturing activities. Ensure housekeeping and organisation within the workplace is always kept to a high standard. Carry out QC checks to maintain the company's commitment to quality. Apply best GMP work practices and techniques. Out of hours work as required. Work independently within the production site for periods of time. Work to individual targets and workflow as well as providing support to management and other team members when required. Manual handling is necessary. Working with Substances hazardous to health Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines. Conduct routine maintenance checks on machinery and report any mechanical issues. Undertake any other appropriate duties as requested by company directors in accordance with company requirements. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to mechanical knowledge and equipment handling.

About you



Meticulous and detail orientated. Motivated, confident, collaborative. Flexible and reliable. Ability to follow SOP. Exhibit familiarity with technical troubleshooting and adept problem-solving skills. Proficiency in PC Skills in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Access, and Power Point as well as familiarity with Mac systems. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work to strict deadlines. Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues. Good physical fitness, as the role will require lifting and standing for extended periods. A positive attitude towards learning new skills and processes. Previous experience in a lab, manufacturing and/or warehouse environment is preferred (although training will be provided). A degree student in chemistry/distillation or similar area of study is a bonus but not required.

Pay: 12.00-12.80 per hour

Expected hours: 21 - 35 per week
