We are looking for a Production Assistant to join our team based at HMHQ in Felsted, Essex.
Humphrey Munson has an unparalleled reputation for excellence in the design, manufacturing and installation of their projects across the UK and the world. We specialise in kitchens but also undertake cabinetry design and installation in all rooms of the home. From multi-million pound new builds to listed renovations, the projects are wide ranging, complex in detail and exquisitely finished.
As a Production Assistant you will play an integral role in supporting the daily operations of our workshop. You will work closely with skilled craftspeople, our Workshop Manager, and the Logistics Team to ensure the efficient handling, packing, and preparation of finished products for delivery to our clients. This role is essential to upholding the exceptional quality and service standards that define our brand, ensuring every piece of cabinetry reaches its destination in pristine condition.
Key Responsibilities
Packing and Wrapping Finished Products: Carefully pack and wrap all completed cabinetry and related components in accordance with our high standards and best practices, using appropriate protective materials to safeguard items from damage during transit.
Quality Control: Inspect finished products for defects, blemishes, or inconsistencies prior to packing. Liaise with the production team regarding any issues, ensuring only the highest-quality items are dispatched.
Preparation for Dispatch: Organise finished products in the designated dispatch area, match items to delivery schedules, and ensure all documentation and labels are complete and accurate.
Material Management: Maintain adequate stocks of packing supplies, inform managers when materials need replenishing, and assist in reordering processes. Store materials safely and keep packing areas clean and organised.
Workshop Support: Maintaining a safe and orderly workshop environment, upholding cleanliness and organisation standards across the production facility.
Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety procedures, including safe manual handling practices, correct use of tools and machinery, and wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with production, logistics, and management teams to coordinate workflow and achieve on-time dispatch of all orders.
Continuous Improvement: Provide feedback on packing and workflow practices and contribute ideas for enhancing efficiency and reducing waste.
Record Keeping: Maintain records of packed items, monitor quality, and note any recurring issues for reporting to managers.

Good manual dexterity and the ability to safely lift and move heavy items.
Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
