Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Batch Mixer to join our production team.

1. Batch Mixing Processes: ? Perform batch processing activities including weighing, dispensing, and mixing chemicals using various equipment and techniques. ? Follow all approved manufacturing methods, SOPs, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). ? Off-loading tankers including hazardous chemicals and flammable products. ? Participate in regular stock takes. ? Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the production area. ? Participate in daily team briefings and Redzone activities.

2. Ensuring Safety and Compliance: ? Ensure all activities on site are carried out in a safe manner, in line with policies, ensuring that all Health, Safety and Environmental statutory requirements are met. ? Ensure consistency in the application of the companies disciplinary, grievance and absence procedures. ? Ensure compliance to all other HSE & HR Policies & Procedures.

3. Quality Control and Assurance: ? Completion of daily audits to include tank readings. ? Conduct in-process quality checks and batch testing to ensure product integrity ? Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address and resolve any quality-related issues and report any findings to the Head of Production.

4. Continuous Improvement: ? Support and contribute to site-wide safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.

5. Communication and Coordination: ? Escalate any concerns to your line manager. ? Communicate with the planning team to ensure correct batches are available to meet production demands.

6. Reporting and Documentation: ? Maintain accurate records of batch mixing activities, monitor and manage inventory levels and perform quality inspections. ? Complete batch documentation accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with internal procedures. ? Input data into stock control systems. ? Participate in daily team briefings and Redzone activities. Person Specification ? Previous experience in a chemical manufacturing environment, particularly in weighing and mixing operations. ? Strong understanding of safety and quality standards in a production setting. ? Good numeracy and literacy skills. ? Competent in using Microsoft Excel and Word for data entry and reporting.

Desirable: ? Experience working in a COMAH-regulated facility. ? Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems. ? Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.

Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm

Pay: 13.11-13.77 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
