Production Blending Operator
Job Description
Calleva Limited in North Petherton is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Blending Operator to join our growing team.
As a Production Blending Operator your role will vary hugely, you will be responsible for operating powder blending machines, manufacturing liquid gel products in our modern well-maintained plant while always ensuring compliance and food safety.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be an important contributor when it comes to the production of high-quality nutrition products, both powder and liquid within a great team. You will need to be an effective communicator in a fast-paced environment, taking responsibility to ensure records are up to date and with a clear audit trail.
In addition to a competitive salary, the hours offer a great work-life balance with a working week of Monday to Thursday, 8:00 - 17:30 and Friday 8:00 -13:00.
Your main duties involve:
Bulk Blending
Bulk blending is the process of weighing out and mixing large quantities of dry powders following a defined recipe, using relevant equipment to ensure a quality blend is produced.
Gel Plant
Gel production is a vitally important part of this role. The aim is to blend ingredients according to recipe to produce pasteurised well mixed gels.
Culture
Working and supporting the friendly operations teams in Production, Quality and Engineering, the team are a close-knit group that know the value of a job well done, adapting to changing customer requirements and actively problem solve as issues arise.
What does a typical day look like?
You will use a bill of materials and process recipes to mix and process product concentrate in accordance with customer guidelines.
You will liaise with the development lab on new product trials and manufacture and "scale up".
Using attention to detail, you will sanitise and hygienically clean manufacturing equipment.
You will collect samples for analysis by the quality assurance team.

Experience in FMCG or similar production processing / compounding-based role.
