Job Description

We are looking to recruit a Production CAD Engineer to join our established Engineering & Production Team. Training will be given to the successful candidate; however, they should already have a understanding of sheet metal production, CAD drawings and Solidworks models, Microsoft Excel & Word and a certain level of practical experiences would be preferred.

Frenger Systems in-house design, test and manufacturer bespoke HVAC products and solutions for a wide range of different Clientele. The successful candidate will primarily be supporting the sheet-metalwork production (punching and folding) side of our manufacturing facility based on Pride Park in Derby. Key Aspects of the role, which will be split between

'factory'

and

'office'

based duties include:-

Checking first off components in the factory against works drawings. Using Solidworks Models to generate production machine programs (training given) Produce production documents (pick lists, job sheets etc...). Project specific technical drawings
Frenger will give the successful candidates full on site training in a variety of production engineering disciplines, including:-

Operating and tool setting of a Trumpf 500 turret punch. Operating and tool setting of various press brakes. Understanding a range of other production machinery such as Power Press, Roll Former, Tube Forming, Welding, Cutting, milling and turning. Producing CNC programs from Solidworks Models. Opportunities to learn and be involved in production planning. Experience and understanding different types of assembly methods.
Working hours are Mon to Thursday, 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to 4pm.

Starting between 27k to 32k per year subject to experience, and reviewed regularly throughout your first year.

Ideally the successful candidate will have:-

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise with all levels of the organisation. The ability to work closely with others both in the factory and office. Some previous experience within a professional engineering environment. Have a keen eye for detail and quality. The ability to work within a fast-paced environment, with good time keeping, attendance, attitude, problem solving and willingness to learn.
