Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a flair for creativity and presentation. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious dishes that delight our guests while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety in the kitchen.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, ensuring quality and consistency in taste and presentation. Develop new recipes and menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends. Oversee kitchen operations, including inventory management, food storage, and equipment maintenance. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service during busy periods. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment. Monitor food costs and portion control to ensure profitability without compromising quality.

Skills

Proficiency in using various kitchen equipment and tools, including hand tools for food preparation. Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot kitchen equipment as needed. Experience working in a warehouse or similar environment is advantageous. Ability to assemble dishes with attention to detail, ensuring aesthetic appeal. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 25 per week
