Job Description

We have an opening for a cleaning operative to join our team at our site in Bristol.

The hours are 39.25 per week

Shifts can be both days 7am - 7pm or nights 7pm - 7am.

There is a pre-planned shift pattern

Paid 1 hour break

As a shift operative within the hygiene team, it is your responsibility to ensure the facilities, equipment and infrastructure on site are cleaned to high standards, whilst maintaining a safety-first approach. The ideal candidate will have experience in a cleaning role, preferably industrial, with high standards, good attention to detail and a willingness to work to rigorous procedures.

This role predominantly focuses on the production area ensuring equipment, drains, floors, stairs etc are cleaned to a high standard. This role focuses on ensuring all glass fragments are removed from floors, drip trays and equipment on and within the production lines.

This is a demanding role requiring good physicality as well as remaining alert to details in a heavily audited and busy factory environment.

A genuine enthusiasm for hygiene coupled with a positive attitude is essential.

Written and verbal English skill is essential

Own transport for this site is essential

Key responsibilities of the role:

Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Floor cleaning, walls, stairs, drains, drip trays under conveyors, balers, waste bins. Maintaining glass and general cleaning equipment to specified standard. Adhering to colour coding of cleaning tools. Adhere to all ISM and client health and safety rules and requirements. Wear any required personal protective equipment (PPE) or site-specific clothing as directed. Use a variety of manual cleaning equipment and chemicals as directed. Operate high powered cleaning equipment such as high pressure hoses. Use of LPG and battery cleaning machines. Record all cleaning tasks as directed. Maintain good relations with client staff, contractors, and visitors to the site.
