We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Production Controller to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for finite scheduling of work centres within production and ensure that the daily plan is achievable and is being implemented appropriately on time, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Finite Scheduling of Work Centres
Develop and maintain detailed production schedules across all work centres to ensure optimal resource utilisation and timely delivery.
Capacity Planning and Analysis
Conduct regular capacity checks to identify constraints and proactively adjust plans to meet production targets.
Production Reporting
Generate and analyse production reports to monitor performance, identify trends, and support decision-making.
Process Readiness and Flow Management
Ensure that all components and materials are prepared and available for the next stage of production to maintain workflow continuity.
KPI Monitoring and Lead Time Management
Track key performance indicators including lead times, product availability, and customer delivery metrics to ensure service excellence.
Compliance and Audit Preparedness
Implement and maintain robust processes that support traceability and compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
Process Documentation and Improvement
Develop, document, and continuously improve production processes within the company's quality management system.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
GCSEs in Mathematics and English at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent qualifications).
Industry Experience:
Demonstrated experience working within a processing, manufacturing, or similar operational environment.
Technical Knowledge:
Sound understanding of production planning principles and
scheduling concepts.
IT Proficiency:
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and software tools.
Time Management:
Excellent ability to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively, and consistently meet deadlines.
Learning Mindset:
Demonstrates a proactive approach to personal development and a willingness to learn in a dynamic environment.
Decision-Making:
Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to assess situations and respond effectively.
