Homebaked Co-operative is a community owned bakery located diagonally opposite from Liverpool Football Club. Homebaked Bakery of two sites one comprises a bakery production and training kitchen, shop and small cafe. The other site is our pie production unit. We offer a great range of fresh affordable bread, cakes and pies all made in-house for our shop and city-wide wholesale.

Our Award-Winning pies are famous across the city and further afield.

Job description

Responsibilities and Duties

Preparation of cafe items to include soups, salads, sauces.

Preparation of children's centre meals - main courses and desserts - as per written menus.

Pie Production - pastry, pie finishing, sausage roll finishing.

Utilise excellent food preparation skills to produce quality meals/food items and work effectively to minimize waste.

Ensure awareness and strict compliance with HOMEBAKED BAKED HACCP guidelines and all other Health & Safety work practices.

Maintain a good relationship with all colleagues - you will report to Head Chef Dan Shiels.

Be consistent in your cooking approach and strive to continuously provide food of excellent taste, quality and presentation.

Understand how this role impacts HOMEBAKED BAKERY and the community it supports.

Qualifications and Skills

At least 2 years' experience as a cook in a professional kitchen (minimum NVQ2) - references/certificates required.

Commercial food production background will be considered.

Excellent communication and organisation skills

Committed to consistency in food quality and adhering to all control measures

Strong knowledge of proper food handling, food hygiene and HACCP (certificate preferable)

Excellent time management and time keeping

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.35 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
