NBCUniversal Formats is the International Sales division for all formats created within the production, broadcast and streaming divisions of NBCUniversal and Sky Studios, as well as select third parties. The division fosters an array of strategic alliance, co-production and co-development partnerships to bring new and existing content to the global market. The role of the Formats Production Coordinator is to support the International Formats team in driving sales of NBCUniversal's Formats Scripted and Unscripted catalogue. The candidate is required to have a solid understanding of the global unscripted format landscape in particular understanding international market trends and displaying a real passion for unscripted production.



Reporting to the VP Formats Production & Development, the Production Coordinator role supports the whole team in all administrative duties with a focus on supporting the VP Production & Development and the Senior Producer. They are also a key liaison between the team and several internal departments (Finance, Marketing, Comms), internal and external stakeholders and our clients.


Production responsibilities include:

Liaising with NBCU owned and affiliated unscripted production companies; UTAS US, UTAS UK, UTAS Australia, Lark, channel execs and production teams to gather and store all necessary materials for the team to be able to efficiently market and license the formats they provide. Liaising with clients to ensure they have all materials necessary to adapt our formats in their markets. Assisting in the creation of format promos including sourcing materials and organising V/O recordings. Liaising with US distribution team on assets/content management. Scripting and editing pitch presentations for the formats team as well as contributing to client pitches. Managing International production trackers and IP development slate. Identifying potential titles of interest to the format sales team, prioritising information gathering and creating sales briefing documents. Supporting the team in creating an acquisition strategy with market and trend information. Researching and building relationships with creators whose ideas could be targets for acquisition.

Team admin duties include:

Invoice processing and tracking against marketing budget. Travel booking and expenses. Calendar management for VP Formats Production & Development & Senior Producer.

Marketing responsibilities include:

Creating marketing mailouts and email banners with an external designer, securing Marketing Manager approval and distributing mailouts to clients via marketing database. Helping to manage our social media presence by gathering the appropriate assets and creating posts. Helping to maintain our website with the Formats intern e.g. uploading content, news etc. Managing formats content on client screening system, NBCUView in liaison with Digital Creative Services team. Assisting in the creation of materials, planning and logistics for trade fairs and markets (MIPCOM, London Screenings, ATF) and attending where appropriate as our local support and receptionist. Administering Awards submissions - gathering assets and submitting entries. Episode subtitling. Gathering assets and liaising with agencies on the production of new catalogues, brochures etc. Providing logistical support for our international formats events.


Qualifications



Skills and Experience:

2 years in a TV production/distribution role. Highly proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook. Editing software experience preferred. Photoshop experience preferred. Knowledge of key players in unscripted format landscape. Exceptionally organised with the proven ability to collaborate with multiple teams at different levels of experience. Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong working relationships. Excellent writing skills with first class attention to detail. Excellent verbal communication skills with experience in presenting both in person and remotely. Self-motivated team player and facilitator. Ability to coordinate and work in a high-paced and dynamic environment.
