Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of HSDU Production Coordinator working at the Royal Stoke site , cover will also be provided at the County site as required.



This is a fully flexible job role and shift patterns may be changed at short notice



Shift Patterns:



Predominantly working core shifts between the hours of 14.00 - 00.00hrs. Hours to be discussed at interview.



On call rota is essential.



Pay scale - Band 5 as per Agenda for Change terms and conditions



The suitable candidates will be introduced to an environment which will offer them a job which is practical, busy, interesting and which will show them a valuable part of the Health Service for North Midlands.



The Hospital Sterilisation and Disinfection Unit services include, the supply and maintenance of surgical instruments used in surgical and medical procedures. These items are checked into the department after use, then are cleaned, disinfected, packaged, sterilised and delivered back to operating theatres, wards, departments, clinics and GP surgeries.



The successful candidate will have high standards, show a genuine interest in healthcare and patient safety, and be able to deliver high quality work to tight deadlines.



To provide management and technical support to the department by overseeing the production of all surgical products throughout the unit and line management of staff.



Ensure all areas of the quality management system are adhered to, making suggestions to processes and practises to improve production flow and meet new and emerging standards.



Take an active role in the quality system, auditing of processes and system
