Production Engineer
Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen at our high growth nutraceutical, dietary supplement and bulk powder facility in Dunkeswell, Honiton. To facilitate and support our production capability we are recruiting a Production Engineer to install, set, maintain, and drive efficiencies with our equipment and processes in our manufacturing areas.
Ideally, we are looking for someone with food manufacturing, encapsulation, tableting and bulk powder filling experience, however this is not essential. End of line packing experience would be desirable, Knowledge and application of BRC would be advantageous.
This is a hands-on position
Role & Responsibilities:
Ensuring Health and Safety regulations are met including the review of risk assessments
Monitor and resolve machine related issues
Support operations to maximise machine outputs, workflow and production efficiencies
Lead engineering improvement projects and support new product introduction
Ensuring equipment and processes meet the required technical and quality specifications.
Ensure manufacturing parameters and instructions are documented
Ensure manufacturing processes for released product meet the required technical and quality standards
Maintain critical spares
Manage preventative and predictive maintenance
Design and manage machine build projects and complete the necessary FAT and commissioning
Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Kaizen application and OEE would be advantageous
