Job Description

We are a small, but growing manufacturer with a drive to constantly improve production processes and outputs, and invest in a close-knit, high-performing production team. We are seeking skilled engineers with previous experience in manufacturing. Forklift license and previous experience welding is preferred as both are key elements of the role. A current UK driving license is a must - collections and deliveries to local suppliers and customers is part of the role responsibilities.

The ideal engineer will be:

Able to work well with colleagues and on their own. Driven, hard-working and self-motivated to complete all production tasks on or ahead of schedule. Fluent in both written and spoken English. Able to read basic manufacturing drawings and plans. Able to use power tools - drills, saws, grinders and cutters.
The role includes the following responsibilities, alongside the rest of the production team:

Manufacturing from detailed drawings. Product assembly. Measuring and cutting material to size. Drilling to match manufacturing drawings. Picking goods and stocking away goods-in. Ensuring the production space is kept clean and tidy.
Further training and qualifications (where relevant to the role) are available to enable you to progress and develop in the role. Upon successful completion of 3-month probation, there will also be the opportunity to take on extra responsibilities within the production department.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: 13.00-16.50 per hour
