We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing production processes, ensuring efficiency, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires a strong foundation in engineering principles and hands-on experience with various manufacturing tools and technologies.
Duties
Design and develop production processes, ensuring they meet quality standards and efficiency targets.
Utilise AutoCAD and SolidWorks for creating detailed designs and layouts of production equipment and tooling.
Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues within the production line and implement effective solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product assembly techniques and tooling methods.
Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to ensure precision in manufacturing specifications.
Oversee the integration of logic controllers into production systems for improved automation.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analysing production data and implementing best practices.
Assist in welding operations as needed, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
Experience
Proven experience as a Production Engineer or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD and SolidWorks, is essential.
Familiarity with logic controllers and their application in production processes is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of root cause analysis methodologies to troubleshoot production issues effectively.
Experience with tooling design and assembly processes is an advantage.
Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma is beneficial.
