Job Description

Production Engineer will be predominantly factory based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. Occasional site installation and maintenance work will be a requirement of the position.

You will be working for an innovative design and manufacturing company, producing bespoke design and build projects predominantly for the UK soft play market.

You will form an integral part of the production team, working closely with all internal departments, to deliver the required features for our softplay equipment and other manufactured items.

Your responsibilities will include manufacturing all required parts and features, predominantly using timber and foam construction materials and techniques. You will using machine hand tools, including jigsaws, drills, routers, wall saw etc. to cut and assemble parts and features. There will also be the use of pneumatic hand tools such as nailers, staplers and glue guns.

Prior timber construction experience is preferable.

Welding experience would be useful.

Much of the timber and steel cutting is done on our CNC machines but some amount of manual cutting will be required.

This represents a great opportunity for someone with the rights skills and experience to work in a small and caring environment.

Prior softplay experience is not required (but would be very useful), but good hand/eye skills, good communication and a positive, can-do attitude is a must.

"On the job" training will be given to the successful candidate, to bring them up to speed on all the products and features.

Pay: 12.50-14.00 per hour
