To ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained throughout the production facility, in compliance with food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality protocols. The Production Hygienist plays a critical role in minimizing the risk of contamination and ensuring a safe environment for the manufacture of flavour ingredients. with a focus on maintaining hygienic conditions that prevent cross-contamination, microbiological growth, and allergen risks. The role supports both routine and deep cleaning processes and works closely with Quality Assurance and Production teams to uphold internal standards and regulatory compliance.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY AND STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE
Carry out scheduled and ad-hoc cleaning of production equipment, floors, walls, and surfaces to maintain hygienic standards.
Perform deep cleaning tasks as per hygiene schedules.
Ensure compliance with site-specific cleaning procedures, including the correct use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Support investigations into hygiene-related non-conformances or customer complaints.
Record all hygiene activities accurately in line with documentation requirements (e.g., cleaning logs, checklists).
Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to ensure hygienic practices are upheld throughout daily operations.
Report maintenance or repair needs for hygiene-related equipment or infrastructure
Participate in hygiene and food safety training as required.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), allergen control, and personal hygiene standards at all times.
