Job Description

Main Purpose of Job:

Cleaning of Machinery and other Equipment used within the Production Department including Injection Molding Machines. Floor Cleaning of work areas including the main gangways and general walkways and around Machinery in a safe manner. Removal waste materials including Oily Water, hazardous waste, recycling, and general waste as per company procedures and ISO14001:2015 standards.

General Duties & Responsibilities:

Ensure all duties are performed in a safe and efficient manner within the parameter of current Health and Safety Legislation (HASAW Act 1974 ECT). When required use wet floor signage or Barriers to seal off areas when dealing with any major Oil spillage and Spill Kits to be used as per Spillage Procedures and ensure that the Yellow Spill Bins are replenished as required. Waste Oil to be placed into ICB by use of motor pump connected to Waste Oil Hoover ICB located within the Hazardous Waste Oil Storage Compound. Ensure Hazardous waste Procedures are adhered to at all times never pour waste Oil down any drainage system and place used Aersol Cans and Oil Absorbents rags and Oil Contaminated Spill matts within the marked hazardous waste wheelie bins - never mix with general waste that goes to Landfill and or recycling materials (Cardboard / paper / Plastic bags / cling film packaging. Correct waste streams must be adhered to all times in line with company Policy and Environmental ISO14001:2015 Standards. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor

Requirements:

Previous experience as a Production Industrial Cleaner r or in a similar role is preferred but not required Ability to use hand tools and power tools for basic building maintenance tasks Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Good communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors

Pay: 12.21-13.43 per hour
