Job Description

Packexe are looking for a part time or full time Production Line Maintenance Technician to join our small team. If you are a hands on, practical, skilled and organised individual, with experience in managing, repairing and maintaining production line machinery and factory equipment, we would love you to come and join us. You will become a vital member of our team, helping to maintain and develop both existing and new manufacturing equipment and processes.

Responsibilities:



Repair machinery breakdowns, including diagnosis, repair and liaising with machine manufacturers when required. Conduct routine inspections and carry out preventative maintenance on production equipment. Support the production team to ensure accuracy, quality and safety with all machinery. Work with the management team on process improvement and enhanced productivity. Implement and maintain accurate maintenance logs for all machinery, including service schedules, repairs and spare parts. Facilities work. Work with CEO on new production lines / manufacturing processes for future products. Operate manufacturing machinery when required and to cover leave. Ensure all health and safety and quality control requirements are complied with. Stay updated with new technologies relevant to the role. General factory duties as and when required, including product assembly and cleaning.

Person specification:



Skills/Attributes:



Strong problem solving skills. A practical, hands on approach to tasks. A sound understanding of basic mechanics, use of hand and power tools. The ability to troubleshoot basic electrical and mechanical problems. Qualifications in mechanical and electrical engineering preferred. Minimum of 2 years experience in a production line maintenance role within a manufacturing business. Ability to read drawings and manuals. Following instruction from management. Abiding by all Health & Safety procedures. Work well as part of a team. Maintain a clean and tidy working environment. Ability to be on your feet for extended periods. A good level of fitness due to the manual handling. Attention to details. Strong communication skills. A 'can do' attitude. Able to work under pressure and to targets in a constantly evolving environment, with a flexible approach. Good organisation and time management skills. Attention to detail and accuracy.

Experience:



Minimum of 2 years experience in a production maintenance role in a manufacturing environment.

Counterbalance forklift licence essential. Reach forklift license and scissor lift licence preferred but not essential.

Benefits:



A pleasant working environment and consistent hours. This role can be part-time or full-time hours. Production work can be undertaken to make up to full-time hours.

Uniform provided.

Starting pay between 35,000 - 40,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience. (Pro rata if part time.)

22 days paid holiday per year, plus bank holidays (pro rata if part time).

Schedule:



Monday to Friday, 08.00-17.00 (part time hours to be worked within these hours)
