Jardox are currently recruiting a Production Line Leader to join the friendly team in our food production facility in Sevenoaks.

At Jardox, we are the "Taste Behind the Brands." Based in Sevenoaks, Kent, we are a 'one stop shop' for all savoury ingredients. We specialise in stocks, gravies, curry pastes, marinades, glazes, sausage & burger seasonings and herb & spice based products.

Our Sevenoaks facility is a hub of activity, and we're looking for an experienced hands-on Production Line Leader to help manage and motivate our team to meet production targets efficiently.

Hours are Monday - Friday, 8am - 4.30pm with an unpaid half hour break for lunch. An additional 10-minute break each day is paid. Some overtime may be available at a rate of pay and a half. We close between Christmas and New Year and contribute to your pension at a rate of 5.5%.

Main responsibilities:

Ensure your line is ready for an 8am start, to maximise outputs Ensure you and your team work to Jardox health and safety requirements Maintain food safety standards, ensuring production records and Critical Control Points (CCPs) are accurately recorded and up to date, including start-up, weight, label and line clearance checks Plan and organise the team required on the line and lead the team to meet production plan targets and drive continuous improvement Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and cleanliness of the production area, ensuring equipment and pallets are cleaned using proper tools and protocols Order raw materials and packaging and ensure these are ready to be used prior to running. Train the team to make sure that they know what "good" looks like. Measure area performance using company systems, SIC boards and KPI trackers to achieve performance. Investigate and learn from root cause analysis to avoid recurring issues from happening again. Troubleshoot and perform minor adjustments to equipment/production line machinery to ensure smooth running of the line which will be trained from SOPs and one-point lessons from our Engineering team. Record and backup all product programs and centreline settings. Minimise packaging and material waste, recording any losses accurately. Prepare the next production orders in advance and liaise with the next shift.
You will be expected to demonstrate the following behaviours:

Leadership and coaching skills, setting the right example for your team to follow Ability to use SIC (short interval control) to monitor and maintain hourly targets. The ability to work closely with Team Leaders and Engineers to ensure our lines are maintained Financial awareness with a desire to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
We are looking for someone who has:

Food production experience, ideally in a multi-tasking supervisory role A strong understanding of production processes and the ability to maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment Ideally, experience with handheld scanners and tablets
This role reports to the team leader of the area and the Production Manager.
