Production (Butchery) Manager

If you have strong butchery management experience or you are currently a Production Manager working in food manufacturing, then this might be the job for you.

Brown Brothers in Kirkconnel is growing fast. With major investment across the site and the launch of our brand-new Butchery Academy, we're building something special... and you could be a key part of it.

We're on the lookout for a confident, hands-on manager for our butchery department who is motivated by developing others, and excited to play a real role in shaping the future of the team on site.

What You'll Be Doing:

Working closely with friendly, supportive teams across the site. Making sure our products are produced to high standards and on plan. Taking ownership of the butchery production plan from start to finish. Keeping documentation accurate and up to date -- the smooth running of the department depends on it! Leading and motivating your team to reach their full potential. Managing resources smartly to keep things efficient and cost-effective. Spotting opportunities to make processes better, faster and safer. Training and supporting butchery colleagues with a positive, people-first approach. Representing the department during supplier and customer visits.

What You'll Bring:

Clear and confident communication skills. A strong work ethic and the ability to stay focused in a busy environment. Excellent organisation and planning skills. The confidence to influence, guide and collaborate at all levels. Strong leadership and people management experience. Comfort working in a fast-paced factory setting. A supportive attitude when training or developing others.

Your Background:

Experience in food production management (required). Butchery skills or experience in meat processing (preferred but not essential -- passion counts).

Pay: 32,000.00-38,000.00 per year
