Raynor Foods is a leading independent manufacturer of chilled and frozen food in the dynamic 'Food to Go' market, with a very strong national and international customer base.

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Production Manager to oversee our food manufacturing operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of production staff while implementing best practices in food safety, quality control, and operational effectiveness. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives and manage production schedules to meet customer demands while optimising resource utilisation.

Working hours are 08:00 - 16:00 working 5 shifts per week with one shift working a Saturday.

Salary - 47k plus profit related bonus

Responsibilities

Lead and manage all aspects of food production, including scheduling, staffing, and stock control to ensure compliance with production plan and KPI's Develop and implement production strategies that improve efficiency, reduce waste, and drive operational best practise Lead and mentor a diverse team of production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely procurement of raw materials and minimise production downtime Monitor production metrics and implement corrective actions to address quality issues and improve overall performance Manage the production budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities and optimizing resource allocation Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment

Skills

5+ years of experience in food production management or a related field, with a proven track record of leadership in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders

Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities

Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure

Strong understanding of food safety regulations, quality assurance processes, and production methodologies
