Job Purpose



The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day manufacturing operations at Vita Manufacture, ensuring production efficiency, quality standards, health and safety compliance, and on-time delivery of products. The role requires strong leadership, a hands-on approach, and experience in managing regulated production environments.

Key Responsibilities



Plan, coordinate, and control manufacturing processes to ensure timely production and delivery. Manage and supervise production staff, including team leaders and machine operators. Monitor and improve production performance through KPIs (output, yield, efficiency, waste, downtime). Ensure strict compliance with GMP, HACCP, and health & safety regulations. Conduct regular production meetings and provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports to senior management. Collaborate with the Quality, Warehouse, and NPD teams to ensure smooth workflow and quality assurance. Oversee equipment maintenance and cleanliness of the facility in line with hygiene standards. Train and develop production staff; manage shift rotations and staff performance. Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions. Maintain accurate production records and ensure batch documentation is complete and compliant.

Key Skills & Requirements



Proven experience (3+ years) as a Production Manager in a pharmaceutical, food, or supplement manufacturing environment. In-depth knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and health and safety standards. Strong leadership and people management skills. Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and reporting skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and production planning tools.

Qualifications



Degree or equivalent in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Food Technology, or related field (preferred). GMP/HACCP certification is a strong advantage.
