Hours of work and salary:
  • Day Shift - \xc2\xa312.34 / Hr.
  • Night Shift - \xc2\xa316.45 / Hr.
  • Overtime - \xc2\xa318.51 / Hr. (First ten hours).
  • Overtime - \xc2\xa324.68 / Hr. (After ten hours overtime).
  • 37.5 hours per week.
  • Must be willing to work rotational shift pattern - 4 weeks on day shift and 4 weeks on night shift
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Assembling, sub-assemblies, options and other components of generator sets. * Works from prints and standard work instructions to produce components of generator sets and similar large assemblies
  • Works across various areas of the business, including, but not limited to, machine shop, paintline, nutsert and assembly
  • Compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Compliance with 5S programme and other business improvement initiatives.
  • Display behaviour and conduct fitting with our Values in Action.
  • Train other employees if and when required.
  • Any other appropriate duties.
Required Qualifications:

The ability to follow and comprehend verbal, specific and detailed procedures and work instructions as well as basic arithmetic calculations in order to perform the duties described above. * Ability to work reasonable amounts of overtime and various shift patterns.
  • Good communication skills, experience working in a team environment.
Desired Qualifications:

The ability to use hand tools, power tools, checking or testing equipment and to be able to read and interpret drawings. * Previous experience working in a lean environment.
  • Previous mechanical experience.
  • Experience working to takt times.
  • Reasonable level of computer literacy where required.
