Overview

We are a growing food processing business looking to recruit a

Production Operative

to work

4 days a week in our packing room

, with

delivery driving on Fridays

.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone reliable, detail-focused, and comfortable working in a food production environment.

Key Responsibilities - Production (Mon-Thurs)

Carry out

label checks, box checks, pallet counts

, and any required verification checks Accurately complete all

associated production and traceability records

Debox cheese and load onto the production line

as instructed Ensure

full traceability is maintained

and batches are not mixed without authorisation Follow all

hygiene, PPE, and high-care entry procedures

, including hand washing and changing protocols

Immediately report

any suspect packaging, incorrect labels, damage, foreign bodies, or other non-conformances Stop the production line if required until issues are checked and cleared

Key Responsibilities - Delivery (Friday)

Deliver customer orders safely and on time Load and unload deliveries responsibly Maintain cleanliness and basic checks of the delivery vehicle Represent the company professionally when dealing with customers

Training & Development (Fully Funded)

We will

fully fund training and certification

, including:

Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene (Manufacturing)

Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)

All training will be provided during employment.

Requirements

Right to work in the UK (essential)

Full UK driving licence (clean) Previous food production or warehouse experience desirable (but not essential) Previous experience as a commercial delivery driver desirable (but not essential) Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures Comfortable with manual handling Reliable, punctual, and a team player Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively within a team Physically fit, capable of performing manual handling tasks and standing for extended periods
