Job Description

A leading manufacturer of secure, weatherproof battery charging solutions is seeking a Production Operative to join their team. This role focuses on the assembly and testing of advanced lithium-ion battery charging units designed for industrial and construction environments.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble, wire, and test battery charging units in accordance with technical drawings, build instructions, and BOMs. Operate machinery such as EHRT, plating lines, and power presses to ensure efficient production. Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and cleanliness in the workspace. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any issues promptly. Accurately maintain production and inventory records. Collaborate with team leaders to manage stock levels and materials. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in production, assembly, wiring, and testing. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering is preferred. 2391 (Inspection & Testing) and/or PAT Testing certification is highly desirable. Familiarity with reading and interpreting technical drawings. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to safely handle and move materials. A proactive, team-oriented mindset.

Supervisory experience

is highly advantageous, with the ability to lead by example and support team development.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 28,000.00-35,000.00 per year
