The Opportunity:

We are looking for dedicated and proactive Production Operatives to join our dynamic team. As a Production Operative, you will play a crucial role in the transformation of raw fabrics into high-quality finished textiles, contributing directly to our reputation for superior products. Key Responsibilities:

Operate various textile machinery used in the dyeing, finishing, and drying processes (e.g., jiggers, jets, stenters, calenders, washing ranges). Load and unload fabric onto machinery, ensuring correct tension and alignment. Monitor machine performance, fabric quality, and process parameters (e.g., temperature, speed, chemical levels) according to standard operating procedures. Conduct basic quality checks on fabric for defects, shade consistency, and finish application. Assist in the preparation of dye baths and chemical solutions, accurately measuring and mixing ingredients as per recipes. Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to all housekeeping standards. Follow strict health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines, including the proper handling of chemicals and machine lockout procedures. Report any machinery malfunctions, fabric defects, or safety concerns promptly to supervisors. Work effectively as part of a team, communicating clearly with colleagues and supervisors. Adhere to production schedules and contribute to achieving production targets. Participate in training and development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided. A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn new skills. Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to follow instructions accurately and work independently or as part of a team. Basic literacy and numeracy skills for reading instructions and recording data. Physical fitness: ability to stand for long periods, lift and move fabric rolls (with assistance where necessary), and perform repetitive tasks. A proactive attitude towards health and safety. Flexibility to work shifts, which may include days, nights, and weekends, depending on production requirements.

Desirable (but not essential):

Experience in the textile industry, particularly in dyeing or finishing. Forklift licence or experience operating other industrial machinery.
