Newly Weds Foods Banbury



Based on Lombard Way, Newly Weds Foods has been operational in Banbury since 2011. During that time our employee team has grown, and we now employ over 250 people. We have a Bakery, Blend factory and a dedicated Gluten Free factory. We operate over a range of shifts in our production facilities, have on site services including a QA team, Engineers, Supply Chain, Logistics, Payroll and HR and we also have a dedicated on-site R&D team.

Overview


Newly Weds Foods Ltd is looking to recruit a Production Operative in our Blend Department on our 12-hour rotational shift (the working hours are 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am and one week you will be working Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and the next week you would be working Wednesday and Thursday, and so on).

The role will include weighing up, mixing, packing, stacking and material handling of our products. This is a physically demanding role and involved consistently lifting bags, throughout the shift, that weigh up to 25kgs.

Responsibilities



To work as a Production Operative in the Blend Department where the main activities include weighing up, mixing, packing, stacking and material handling; Ensure a quality process throughout from the product, to the packaging, to adhering to corporate quality standards; Ensure relevant paperwork is completed on time, and suggest improvements where applicable; Adhere to corporate sanitation standards at all times; Adhere to NWF health and safety policy, reporting any near misses or issues observed relating to quality, safety, sanitation, machinery or throughput to the Department Manager

Experience



Previous experience in a food production environment is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools effectively. Familiarity with power tools and their safe operation is advantageous. Proven ability to work well in a team-oriented setting while also being self-motivated. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
