We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidates will have a strong carpentry knowledge and experience with both hand and power tools.
Responsibilities
Work within the assigned team to complete the making of Patterns, Moulds, Jigs and AssemblyFitting of composite products.
Trimming, routering, drilling and bonding
Some knowledge of Composite manufacturing an advantage but not essential.
Maintain tooling and report any defects
Follow, process, and complete all Manufacturing Instruction Sheet or equivalent documentation as required. Keep accurate and up to date records of work undertaken and keep the relevant documentation with the part to maintain product integrity and traceability of the part
Maintain the work environment to the agreed standard in line with Health and Safety regulations
Complete and keep up to date relevant documentation including skills matrices, training records, 5S and KPI paperwork
Train and mentor colleagues and apprentices.
Qualifications
Carpentry experience (advantageous)
Experience in a production assembly position previously
Good practical and organisational skills with a high level of manual dexterity
Previous experience and ability in use of manual lathe and Milling machines
Good concentration levels and attention to detail
Ability to carry out repetitive tasks methodically
Able to stay away from home and work at customer locations on a flexible basis, if required.
Must be able to obtain Security Clearance.
