Envases UK, part of the privately owned Envases Group, are an internationally renowned manufacturer and supplier of specialist metal containers, serving a UK, European and US client base. Supplying into a range of Industrial and food industries, based in Bootle we have manufacturing capability from 125ml to 25 litre containers.
The successful candidate:
Reporting to the Production Manager the job holder needs to understand the manufacturing principles, the effect of downtime and/or non-quality and the importance of procedures and discipline. The job holder should apply the EHS regulations, safety rules and participate in Internal Audits and activities such as work place inspections, risk assessments etc.

KPI Delivery
Detailed Responsibilities:
Set, adjust and run production lines to achieve agreed KPIs, waste management and maximise output as a minimum.
Continuous Improvement. Identify and promote line and process improvements.
Ensures the line is safe to operate.
Accurately responds to other needs as required.
Monitors line efficiency, downtime, contributing in relevant action plans in order to improve it, when required.
Ensures that all quality controls are taking place and that line spoilage, isolations and customer complaints are constantly under review, including the necessary actions to improve.
Ensures full implementation of the required WCP standards.
Ensures daily maintenance of the machines (oiling, greasing, cleaning, housekeeping) and work area are delivered.
Full flexibility across all manufacturing areas will be required.
Expectation to train team members as and when required.
Experience:
At least 2 years working in a production environment with experience of operating mechanical equipment
Essential to have experience in machine set up and change overs
Qualifications:
NVQ Level 1 in a related qualification i.e. manufacturing processes or equivalent experience
Technical / maintenance qualification
FLT license is an advantage
Knowledge:
Good knowledge of Safety, Hygiene and Quality procedures in a production environment
Knowledge of manufacturing principles, the effects of downtime and/or non-quality and the importance of procedures and discipline.
Able to work as part of a team
Good communicator at all levels
