About the Role

As a Production Operative, you'll be assembling and testing electronic and mechanical products to the highest standards. Working from technical drawings and process instructions, you'll help ensure every assembly meets specification and quality targets.

What You'll Do

Assemble production and sub-assemblies (including downlead cables and headset assemblies). Carry out in-process testing to ensure functionality and quality. Route wiring, install electrical components, and perform soldering to IPC standards. Use hand tools, crimping tools, and cable preparation equipment. Interpret technical drawings and follow production process instructions. Work closely with Quality and Test teams to maintain compliance with standards. Participate in Continuous Improvement and feedback activities. Maintain high accuracy and strive for 100% right-first-time builds.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment (3+ years preferred). Ability to perform both electrical and mechanical assembly tasks. Strong soldering skills (IPC standard). Good problem-solving and fault-finding ability. Practical skills using hand tools, crimping, and assembly equipment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Knowledge of ISO 9001 / AS9100 (advantageous). Computer literate (Microsoft Office; SAP experience beneficial but training provided).

Qualifications

Electrical Engineering qualification (or equivalent experience). Certified soldering to IPC standard.
