About Giraffe CCTV

Giraffe CCTV is a fast-growing company in the mobile security industry. We design and manufacture innovative security products, including solar-powered CCTV towers and modular camera systems, all supported by our own in-house software.

As our production team continues to grow, we are looking for a practical, reliable Production Operative to support the flow of metalwork components through our manufacturing process. Full training will be provided.

The Role

This is a hands-on, workshop-based role suitable for an entry-level candidate looking to start a career in manufacturing or production. You will work with metal components at various stages of production, helping to prepare, inspect, pack, and assemble parts to a high standard.

No welding experience is required. Training will be provided on all tools, processes, and quality checks.

Key Responsibilities

Checking in metalwork components and inspecting them for damage or quality issues Preparing ("kitting") metal parts into sets for subcontract welders Cleaning and preparing metal components using hand and power tools (fettling) Packing metalwork for shipment to subcontractors and galvanisers Unpacking and checking metalwork when it returns from galvanising Carrying out quality checks at each stage of the process Cleaning and finishing metalwork after galvanising Basic assembly work, including rivet nutting and tapping Recording work completed using simple production trackers Keeping the work area clean, tidy, and safe

What We're Looking For

Essential:

A good attitude and willingness to learn Good attention to detail and pride in doing a job properly Comfortable with hands-on, practical work Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions

Desirable (but not required):

Any experience in manufacturing, production, or workshop environments Experience using hand or power tools

Training & Development

Full training provided on all tools, equipment, and processes Ongoing support from an experienced production team Opportunity to develop skills in metalwork, quality inspection, and assembly

Working Hours

37.5 hours per week Monday-Thursday: 8:30am-5:00pm Friday: 8:30am-2:00pm
