Production Operative

Salary: Competitive

Hours: Monday - Thursday, 08:30am 17:30pm and Friday 08:00 17:00.

Location: Hilsea Portsmouth

QVIS Lighting and Security is a family-owned business based in Hilsea, Portsmouth and is a leading provider of CCTV, LED Lighting and Smart Home products. With a 20-year history, QVIS distribute recognised brands through established routes to market.


At QVIS Lighting and Security we are looking to recruit a Production Operative to join our busy team. The successful candidate will report to the Production Manager and will be responsible for: component change overs (emergency, dimming etc) as well as RMA repairs and reworks and to provide technical support after initial training.

Responsibilities - Production Operative

Assist with the assembly of lighting components Ensure products are coded correctly for customers Assist in the packaging of orders in preparation for delivery to customers and associated paperwork Assist in LED production and project completion Maintain and promote a clean and organised working environment Check the quality of the products to ensure they meet our customers specifications Adhere to strict electrical health and safety instructions and processes Provide support to warehouse during peak times to include picking, packing, and unloading containers from overseas suppliers

Skills & experience - Production Operative

Electrical experience desirable but not essential as training will be provided for the successful candidate Experience in a production environment would be advantageous Ability to work within a team and as an individual Excellent organisation skills Experience using SAP desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided
