Scope of Role
Avondale Foods is a leading food manufacturing company of Fresh and Chilled products supplying leading retail businesses.
This key role is to prepare a range of products that meet company standards and customer's specifications and requirements.
Working within various areas of the chilled factory the job role will vary from preparing, making and packing quality food products. To adhere to company policies and procedures as trained, in relation to Product Quality, Food Safety and Integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical aptitude operate machinery in line with quality and department procedures at all times.
Cooking with vessels involving the safe manual handling of ingredients.
Ability to read recipes accurately and weigh ingredients following correct procedures, demonstrating strong attention to detail.
To label products/bins ensuring that all details, i.e., AX labels and production dates.
To ensure full traceability and product identification throughout the process.
To pack final products into boxes/crates and onto pallets/dollies as per customer specifications whilst checking product quality and dates at line speed
To pack final products into boxes/crates as per customer requirements
To complete required quality sheets, CCP (Critical Control Point) checks and production documentations accurately and in required timeframe
Prioritize Food Safety and Quality at all times as per training
To observe good housekeeping within the area and general surroundings
To adhere to Company General Policies, i.e., Food Safety, Health Safety
To adhere to company policies and procedures as trained, in relation to Product Quality, Food Safety and Integrity.
To complete stock counts accurately at the end of the shift.
To do any other reasonable duties as required.
Contribute to the development of a culture of Integrity, collaboration 'do the right thing' approach in all interactions.
Ensure Food Safety compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements to remain audit-ready at all times.
Person Specification
Essential
Basic level of both verbal and written English
Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment
Understanding of food safety, hygiene and quality control procedures.
Desirable
Previous experience working within a Food Production environment
Proven high level of manual dexterity and speed
Level 2 Food Safety
Health & Safety/ First Aid related qualification
