SUMMARY Reporting to the Production Manager the Production Operative will manufacture and assemble product in adherence to specification in line with company processes and quality standards and response to customer demand.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow manufacturing documentation, selecting and using the correct tools to carry out mechanical and electrical assembly of product which meets the quality and delivery expectations of ODC's customers.
Report progress regularly on the assigned tasks to the Production Manager, ensuring that shop order paperwork is appropriately completed, and especially highlight where agreed target dates are not going to be met.

Ensure all equipment used during the build which requires calibration or maintenance, is within its calibration and/or maintenance period and highlight any items outside of this to the Production Manager.
Adhere to all instructional and Health & Safety guidelines for the use of equipment in order to maintain a safe work environment.
Achieve and retain the J Standard soldering qualification as required by the business.
Contribute to continuous improvement through the identification, reporting and resolution of Non-Conformance to products and materials.
Maintain a safe working environment ensuring that all company and regulatory standards are achieved at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
Preferably 5 GCSE's or equivalent or experience within a similar manufacturing environment
ADDITIONAL SKILLS
Computer literate
Strong teamwork background
Experience of detailed soldering is an advantage
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
The Production Operative will have the ability to follow clear instructions and possess effective communication skills (written and verbal). With the ability to pay attention to fine detail they will be capable of providing an accurate and focused delivery of their associated responsibilities.
