Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Production Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in line setting, machine maintenance, and materials handling. This role involves operating various machinery and tools to produce high-quality cosmetic products while ensuring adherence to safety standards and production schedules.

Responsibilities

Oversee and maintain automatic and semi-automatic filling, capping and labelling equipment. Manage a small team of machine operatives. Assemble products according to engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring quality control throughout the process. Utilise hand tools and tooling effectively for various production tasks. Conduct regular inspections of machinery and tools to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance. Handle materials efficiently within the warehouse environment, ensuring accurate inventory management. Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and troubleshoot any issues that arise during manufacturing. Maintain a clean and organised work area in accordance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment is essential. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications. Familiarity with production processes and a wide range of machinery are highly desirable. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to production tasks. Previous warehouse experience is beneficial, including materials handling skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required. A commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety in all aspects of work.
