Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Operator is responsible for operating machinery and processes in the manufacture of foam and fibre acoustic products.
They shall work in a team or by themselves and carry these activities in a safe and controlled manner while following H&S controls
Follow defined processes and meet quality demands as instructed
Aid in meeting the companies environmental goals, through understanding and contributing to its environmental initiatives
Have a high level of flexibility and a multi-disciplined approach, to suit the requirements of our customers and the business
To have a detailed approach to the work they carry out, engage in H&S and environmental initiatives, and work to save costs and wastes
The person performing the role should also play a key role in continuous improvement processes during their everyday duties
All staff should understand the company strategy and its core values, and how their role is critical to their success.
Key responsibilities
Adhere, monitor, and improve Health and Safety in all areas
Maintain housekeeping of their work area to ensure a clean and safe environment
Follow process and complete documentation to comply with quality standards.
Operate machinery in a safe manner
Report near misses and accidents
Report non-conforming machinery to the maintenance technician or manager.
To comply with quality and environmental management systems (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001: 2018 & ISO 45001:2018)
Engage with all colleagues in a helpful and professional manner, respecting equality
Clock into work by logging using the companies time recording system
Be at their designated workstation at their shift start time
Wear company issued work wear and any required PPE as directed
Follow all instructions, as set out in the Staff Handbook, in works instructions and procedures, on notices, at the direction of supervisors and with common sense
In addition to these functions employees should carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required.

GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
