08:00 to 17:00 - Mon & Tue

08:30 to 17:00 - Wed & Thu

08:30 to 16:00 - Fri

Role overview:



The successful candidate should possess a positive 'can do' attitude, be a team player, adaptable, have excellent attention to detail, strong time management and excellent communication skills. You will train and be required to participate in all aspects of our warehouse function and some elements of our despatch procedures, mainly Amazon orders. We are looking for a dependable and organised individual, as this is a busy and hands on role, performing a variety of manual handling duties and often working at a fast pace to prioritise a multitude of tasks.

This role creates an opportunity for the successful candidate to learn more about complementary medicine and food supplements and to take ownership of a key position in this busy department. You will contribute to the Company by gaining a working knowledge of our warehousing and storage systems. You will assist with the handing, storage and distribution of incoming and outgoing goods, assisting to promoting our products as a brand leader, and complying fully with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Health & Safety procedures.

Main actions and Responsibilities:



Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor and Production Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day despatch/warehouse activities. This involves (not an exhaustive list):

Assisting with the loading and unloading of goods Taking receipt of goods inwards, ensuring accurate quantities have been received, dealing effectively with any issues or damages Accurately logging goods inwards and despatched goods into our stock management system Storage and rotation of stock, treating our goods with care Timeously supplying production departments with necessary bulk product and packaging materials To pick & pack a range of medicinal, food supplement and food products to match orders, of numerous quantities and sizes, for trade and retail customers and to ensure these goods are packed accurately and timeously, to help meet packing targets and guaranteed delivery requirements Assisting with inventory controls, typically using hand-held scanners and assist with stock counts and reporting of any discrepancies Keeping the despatch/warehouse environments clean, tidy and safe, checking and maintaining equipment as necessary, reporting any faults or defects Use of parcel carrier software to prepare incoming/outgoing goods and liaise with raw material suppliers and freight/parcel couriers Actively contribute as a member of the despatch/warehouse teams, working towards team goals and helping to develop and improve our services and procedures, reporting any issues to the Warehouse Supervisor Undertaking any other duties as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor or Production Manager

Experience, Skills, & Characteristics:



Previous experience in a similar environment and/or a keen interest in warehouse operations would be beneficial NVQ/SVQ in Warehouse, Storage & Logistics and/or Diploma in Warehouse & Inventory management is desirable but not essential Forklift Licence - Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck licence is preferred but not essential Educated to Standard Grade or National 3/4/5 level with passes in English and Maths as a minimum Computer literate as the role involves using a bespoke Information Management System (barcode scanning & invoicing) and a reasonable knowledge of Microsoft Office A good standard of numeracy and literacy skills as the role involves doing basic calculations and completing packing documentation Attention to detail is essential when handling medicinal products and food supplements to ensure accuracy and quality Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess situations, to quickly solve issues Effective time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively Good communication skills ensuring effective communication with colleagues Self-motivated with the ability to work on your own, but also be an excellent team player, building good working relationships, working as part of the wider warehouse and production teams Trustworthy, self-motivated, reliable and a willingness to learn

Additional Information:



The successful candidate will be subject to the satisfactory completion of a 3 month probationary period to assess performance, training and skills attained to help assess suitability to perform the role on a permanent basis.

Candidates should note that public transport to Riverside Business Park, Irvine is limited so own transport or access to other transport should be considered.
