PennWhite is a leading manufacturer of chemical process aids serving customers across the globe. We specialise in foam control agents, high performance lubricants, surface coatings, release agents and silicone emulsions. Based in Cheshire, we have supplied formulated products for over 30 years and are a wholly owned subsidiary of Manali Petrochemical Ltd.

A vacancy has arisen at our Middlewich site for a Production Operative to join our Production team. The production operative is responsible for preparing equipment and materials, following production instructions, and operating manufacturing processes to produce quality products safely and efficiently. The operator must follow all health and safety procedures, use appropriate protective equipment, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and report any hazards, incidents, or equipment issues promptly.

MAIN PURPOSES OF THE JOB:



Follow all site health and safety procedures, policies, and safe systems of work at all times.

Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment to reduce the risk of accidents or contamination.

Safely handle raw materials, chemicals, and equipment in accordance with training and safety data sheets.

Review production or batch documentation to determine required materials, equipment, and process steps.

Prepare production areas by cleaning and inspecting equipment and workspaces to ensure readiness for use and prevent contamination or defects.

Ensure production equipment and machinery are available, clean, and operating correctly prior to use.

Select and verify that the correct raw materials, components, or ingredients are used in accordance with production instructions.

Operate and monitor production processes, including mixing or blending activities, to ensure they are completed within specified parameters.

Coordinate with quality or laboratory personnel and ensure products are released as per QC process.

Accurately complete production records and report any deviations, equipment issues, or quality concerns to production manager.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:



Current fork lift truck licence.

Physically capable of manually handling raw materials, finished product and heavy equipment.

Skilled in the use of lifting equipment for heavy drums.

Basic computer skills

GCSE standard literacy and numeracy.

Ability to work to established procedures.

Ability to multi-task.

Team player.

Competent in use of all production equipment.

WORKING HOURS:



Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm

HOURLY RATE:



14.80 - 15.30. p/h
